Kloppmann Real 65 Calibrated Set

Real 65 Set. 1965 is a year which some Strat maniacs only remember because of some Stratocasters with fretboard binding. Well, we better move on and reckon the fact that the sound of those ´65 Strats are very different compared to the early ´60 models. Jimi Hendrix played a ´65 Stratocaster on “Are you experienced” and at the Monterey Pop Festival. That´s why I decided top celebrate these marvellous sounds with my Real 65 Set. Due to being wound with Plain Enamel Wire the pickups of Stratocasters made from late ´64 to ´66 deliver a more mellow, warmer sound with less of that typical “stratty” highs. “Hey Joe”, “Red House” and “Can you see me” are typical examples where this mellowness is a perfect match for the aggressive and bite roar of Hendrix´s cranked Marshall amps.
